Note
Constable of Hempstead is commanded to summons Richard and Thomas Ellison, executors of the late Richard Ellison "deceast," to appear before Richard Jackson on Saturday the 12th of January at "two of the clock in the afternoon" to answer to Amos Suthand [Southand?] for his damages of £10 or under. Dated 1st of January, 1799 and signed by Richard Jackson, Justice. Writing on back details execution of summons by Felix Fowler, Constable. Additionally, the back indicates that the trial was adjourned to the 21st day of January at the house of William Mott in order for a jury trial to be had by consent of the parties.
