Note
Constable of Hempstead is commanded to "seize the body" of David Seaman, sadler, and bring him to appear before Richard Jackson to answer to Pratt Duryea for damages of £10 or under. The summons contains an addendum empowering Pratt Duryea to serve the summons "as the law provides in such cases." Dated 8th of June, 1789 and signed by Richard Jackson, Justice. Writing on the back details services of the summons by Pratt Duryea.
