Note
Constable of Hempstead is commanded to summons Samuel Doty to appear before Richard Jackson, Justice of the Peace, on the 1st of November at "two of the clock in the afternoon" to answer to John Birdsall in an action of Trespass for damages of £10 or under. Dated 23rd of October, 1798 and signed by Richard Jackson, Justice. Writing on the back details execution of the summons by Felix Fowler, Constable.
