Note
Constable of Hempstead is commanded to summons Richard Totten to appear before Richard Jackson, Justice of the Peace, on the 30th of August at "two of the clock in the afternoon" to answer to David Jackson for damages of £10 or under. Dated 20th of August, 1798 and signed by Richard Jackson, Justice. Writing on back details execution of summons by Felix Fowler, Constable.
