Note
The sheriff of Litchfield County is ordered to attach the goods or estate of Joseph Dunbar and, failing that, to seize his person so that he will appear before Daniel Potter, Justice of the Peace on 22nd March at "11 o'clock in the fore noon" and answer for to Elisha Frost for the sum of £7, 9 shillings, and 5 pence with lawful interest. Dated 7th March, 1797 and signed by David Smith, Justice of the Peace. Writing on back details the execution of the summons by the constable.
