Biographical / Historical
Until 1966 the Law Center awarded the LL.B. as the basic law degree. The Class of 1967 was the first to receive a J.D. instead of an LL.B. During the 1930s, the J.D. was awarded as a graduate degree, and students had to complete a dissertation.
