Constable of Oysterbay is commanded to summons David Jackson to appear before Richard Jackson on Saturday, the 1st of November, at "two of the clock in the afternoon" to answer to Topher Smith and David Seaman for damages of £10 or under. Dated 20th of November, 1798 and signed by Richard Jackson, Justice. Writing on back indicates that summons was executed by Joseph Latting, Constable and that the trial was adjourned to a later date by consent of the parties to permit a jury trial.
