Sine Datum; [circa 1280]; 21 lines, endorsed on the verso, with linen skippet for seal (fragments of original seal only); folds, slight browning; 126mm x 220mm; grant for a sum of money, homage and service, of Alan, son of Geoffrey, to Robert Cocus and his wife Beatrice, for their homage and service, and to the heirs of Robert Cocus: 3½ acres in a field called Wodecroft in Hempstead and 2 acres in a field called Hegefeld in Great Sampford; to the Hold of Alan, son of Geoffrey, by an annual rent of 15 d.
