Washington Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Under Law--Alien Rights Collection
Scope and Contents
The collection includes 17 boxes of materials, most of which are case files. Access to the case files is restricted and users will have to agree to the user’s agreement governing access to the collection (link). An inventory to the collection exists, which details the restricted materials in the collection. Accessible materials include correspondence documenting the organizing initiative, reports, memos, news stories, as well as pleadings, briefs and other documents that were filed with the courts. Researchers interested in using the collection are requested to contact the NEJL archivist one week in advance, so that the user’s agreement can be discussed, and materials can be reviewed ahead of time.
