Biographical / Historical

Laurie Zelon is an associate justice of the California's Court of Appeal, 2nd District, Division Seven. She was appointed to the Los Angeles Superior Court in 2000 and the Court of Appeals in 2003. Zelon has served and chaired on multiple committees in the ABA. The ABA committees she has served on include the Delivery and Pro Bono Projects Committee and Delivery of Legal Services Committee of the ABA’s Young Lawyers Division, the ABA’s Standing Committee on Legal Aid and Indigent Defendants, the Consortium on Legal Services and the Public, the State Bar’s Access to Justice Working Group, the Judicial Council’s Advisory Committee on Access and Fairness, the council’s Racial and Ethnic Fairness, Sexual Orientation and Economic Access subcommittees.
