Louis F. Oberdorfer (1919-2013) was a veteran partner at a major Washington, D.C. corporate law firm, Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering. He co-chaired the Washington Lawyer's Committee for Civil Rights in its early years. Rober Cramton invited him to chair the transition team for the Legal Services Corporation, and Oberdorfer was later appointed as a federal judge to the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.
