Opinion, National Senior Citizens Law Center v. Legal Services Corporation , 1985

 File — box-folder: NEJL-031.01, Folder: 10

Scope and Contents

This was a case in which an LSC-funded program sought to block policy changes made by the LSC Board. As president, Ronald Reagan intentionally appointed an LSC Board that was destructive toward the very programs it was charged to advance. The Board did its best to curb certain types of litigation that were viewed as being too liberal. The result was the irony of an organization essentially advancing litigation against itself.
