Biographical Note
Robert B. Stevens, a noted legal historian, is a graduate of Keble College, Oxford, and Yale University Law School (LLM, 1958). He was a faculty member at Yale Law from 1959-1976, then Provost of Tulane University until 1978 when he became President of Haverford College in Pennsylvania. He left that post in 1987 to become Chancellor of University of California, Santa Cruz until 1991 when he returned to England and became Master of Pembroke College, Oxford.
